It's HERE!!!
I survived the summer wait for season 2 of Heroes! Last night's episode was spectacular if for no other reason than the fact that it was new. I have my fingers crossed that it won't experience the sophomore slumps of Lost (though season 3 should have been titled "Holy Lord JJ Abrams/Carlton Cuse/Damon Lindelof, you have redeemed yourself!") and Desperate Housewives. I have my hopes high for this season. I did feel quite bad for Hiro though last night... mainly because it is just plain MEAN to make his lovable little self sad. Though I think I see where this is going... Hiro-from-the-past is going to perform all of the heroic acts of Takezo Kensei, and he will in fact be the beloved hero known to the young children of Japan. But really, can't they just be nice to Hiro for a while? It breaks my heart every time that crestfallen look crosses Masi Oka's face.
I do hope that they go back through time a bit to see what took place in the four months after the atmospheric eruption of my favorite Petrelli brother. Matt and Janice are divorced? Mohinder is still beautiful (ok, that was a given)? Peter wound up handcuffed in a storage shed that was supposed to be filled with stolen iPods? Nathan stopped shaving? Maya the new Hero is some sort of human revolver?
So many questions have arisen and so many are left to be answered.... and I love it.
