The fictional receptionist in question is one Pam Beasley (also known as one half of television's greatest couple PB & J). Just wanted to clear that up in case anyone thought I was talking about Amanda from Ugly Betty (and seriously folks, only three weeks are supposed to have elapsed... the girl gained about 60 lbs).
The season premiere of The Office was everything I expected it to be and more! Seriously, how can you not be pleased when the episode involves The Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Fun Run. The episode solidified to me that The Office is absolutely my favorite comedy currently on TV (sorry 30 Rock, you're not THAT far behind though).
If there is one thing I learned last night, it's that excessive amounts of fettuccine alfredo, lack of water, and a 5k Rabies Fun Run do not mix. Just ask Michael Scott. I also never thought I'd be so amused by cat murder... but what can I say? I guess I have animal torture issues in the back of my mind?
The season premiere of The Office was definitely my most anticipated show of the fall sweeps period... and because of it, I am officially off the Grey's bandwagon (though I was only hanging from it by a toe anyway).
As for Ugly Betty... Ana Ortiz better get Emmy/Golden Globe consideration based on the last five minutes of the show alone. Heartbreaking.
