This week was possibly my favorite episode of The Office ever... or possibly a close second to Gay Witch Hunt. For those of you trying to remember all of the things that Andy (or as Michael would say... The Nard Dog) substituted for "Kit Kat Bar" while singing the theme song... I bring the list to you:
*apple sauce
*Chrysler car
*football cream
*lumber tar
*Snickers bar
*Jean Claude van Damme
*Hair for Men
*poison gas
*nutrisweet
My heart is continuing to break for Dwight. Like Pam said, he continues to remove himself further from reality... and like Jim said, Second Life does have losers. So I couldn't help but be a bit tickled while listening to Andy and Dwight repeatedly yelling "Oh D! Oh D! Oh D!" I do love Andy Bernard... but The Nard Dog is no Dwight Schrute... so his happiness will just have to take a back seat. Plus, I doubt Andy's reaction would've been as great as Dwight's if they'd heard Angela say "I hate being titillated." Much like Darryl, I think Angela is highly under-utilized on the show... when she IS on screen, I am generally amused by everything she says.
But while on the subject of Darryl... how adorable was his song? Craig Robinson doesn't have a bad voice at all... boo on Michael for not liking it. Although, this exchange was priceless:
Michael: I was under the impression that this was going to be a rap.
Darryl: What's rap?
Michael: Darryl, you need to be more in tune with your culture. I'll make you a mix.
The commercial was a great basis for an episode. I've always thought (like Jim) that Dunder Mifflin sounds like a company that sells mufflers or muffins. Plus it lead to Michael calling Ryan a "little bitch" and telling Oscar that he would like him to do the costume design, obviously. Michael Scott is possibly one of the most offensive people to remain gainfully employed, and I do adore him.
