McNamara / Troy returns in two weeks.

I finally finished season 4 of Nip/Tuck, and I must say... I'm much less excited about season 5 than I was before I watched it.

The one thing I'm glad about is the lack of Julia in the last few episodes. Joely Richardson may be a good actress... if what she's going for is nonstop annoyance and whining. I much prefer the show without her.

I also am not a fan of the Matt & Kimber storyline, especially the involvement of Scientology. To each their own religiously... I don't have a problem with that part. It's the fact that it seems Kelly Carlson is really forcing it as far as acting goes now that the storyline is in place. It just doesn't seem at all believable. I also like the show much more when Christian and Kimber are together (which will happen again, it's only a matter of time). The fact that there was little to no mention of the fact that Matt should have still been in high school and that he was only 18 made it seem like they're trying to do a little Days Of Our Lives aging of his character... though it certainly doesn't help that John Hensley is about 30 years old playing a high school student. Dylan McKay, is that you?

I'm glad to see Escobar gone, though. That story line had more than run its course. The same is true of the Michelle/James organ harvesting business he ran. And I couldn't possibly be happier to see Wilbur back in Christian's life. Christian is much more likable when he is around, so that part of the story line is ok with me. I just hope season 5 gets them back on track to the magic of seasons 1-3.
