I have to give props to the old alma mater... my little sister's soccer team (of which she is a captain) won last Thursday to go undefeated in the Big 9 Conference for the first time since 1997 (when I was a freshman in high school... man am I OLD!)
They went head to head w/ the other unbeaten team in the conference and won a very evenly matched game 2-0 (she assisted the second goal). So here's a big "WOO HOOO" for Mayo girls soccer!
They finished the season at Kasson Mantorville on Saturday with a 3-0 win (and a goal and an assist for miss Gibby)... and they start sections this Thursday Oct. 11 at 5:00 pm against 7th seeded Northfield. So cheer for the Spartans or else.
