If you're not watching Pushing Daisies, you are missing one of possibly the most enjoyable and innovative hours to have ever graced the world of television. The fact that even the two semi-villains Emerson and Olive are completely lovable is a testament to the show. And no one can say that "That wasn't the Truth Bus. That was the Bitchy Crosstown Express" didn't give them a Chuck-le (pun intended).
I was glad to see that the aunts, aka the Darling Mermaid Darlings had returned and was even more heartwarmed by the fact that Chuck was able to send them a pie, regardless of the fact that they didn't know it was from her. Also, the pie hole jokes will never get old. Pie hole as in "shut your"... or as in "open your" in this case because it's so good.
It's hard to not feel badly for Olive. She seems to really love Ned and the only fault that she has is not being Chuck. I like that they introduced another potential love interest for her because it's not as if she's done something (like, I don't know, kill a funeral parlor director?) to make her undeserving of love... all she does is pine all day long.
The sword fight was humorous... Ned wanted to be a Jedi? Plus, I spied Kristin Dos Santos as one of the dead bodies in the funeral parlor ("honey, did you leave the gas on?"). And I adore her, so that makes it even a better episode... plus the fact that it ended with Ned with a sword in a royal red toga made it even more lovable. The only downfall is that it made me wish that I was watching it in HD... the colors are too beautiful.
