So much to be excited about

Gossip Girl - And you thought nicotine was addictive. Those saucy high school kids have me completely hooked. Blair finally became unhateable to me at the end... but we'll see how long it lasts. I don't know who the guy is who plays Chuck, but he must be a pretty great actor because I think I would punch him in the mouth if I ever saw him in person... especially if he was smirking. I'm glad to see Serena and Dan made amends for now. And more so, I'm glad to see that Dan is proud of being a nerd. Nerds rock.

Dirty Sexy Money - Reverand Brian Darling, you rock my world. "Your mother will take you back if I have to stuff you in a cannon and shoot you at her." Somehow that is infinitely funnier when said by a man dressed as a reverand... to a boy no older than 6. My heart did break for the little guy a few times. I like that they toned down the Juliet and Karen characters a bit from the pilot... definitely needed to be done. Both were a little bit too over the top and I was worried they'd get old fast. And I must say, I do love the side story about Juliet ending a friendship over a copied haircut.

Real World Sydney - Trisha is possibly one of the most self-absorbed, worthless people to ever appear on reality TV. I say this just a day after Jonny Fairplay was beaten up at the reality TV awards. Yes, Trisha is more self-absorbed and more worthless. That's saying a lot. I know her homophobic, hate-mongering, proselytizing self goes home eventually. Let's just hope it's sooner rather than later.

Newport Harbor - I can't believe I watched this so. Even more so, I can't believe I cried while watching. No, I was not concerned about the relationship between Chrissy and Clay. It just took me back to an August night in 2001 when I said goodbye to my best friend on the sidewalk of a party and bawled my eyes out and wanted to stay home forever... so I knew how the girls felt.

What to watch tonight:
Ugly Betty... because Ana Ortiz deserves an Emmy after last week.
30 Rock... because Jack Donaghy and Liz Lemon were wacky enough to earn a much deserved Emmy and people better start watching. I don't want to see another Arrested Development situation.
The Office... because of Jim, Pam, Michael, Angela, Dwight, Jan, Stanley, Kevin, Toby... they're all spectacular.

And in sports news... I'm officially a fan of the Angels and the National League. I don't want to see a win by the Yankees, Red Sox, or Indians. I reeeeeally don't want to see that. Annie, for your sake I will pull for the Cubbies mostly. Though I do like the Rockies too... so why not both?
